Gollan Cup Award

Hi folks
With our annual awards night fast approaching could anyone who would like to be included in the nominations for the Gollan Cup award please send their logs to jackmcginley242@yahoo.co.uk before October 30th.
The Gollan cup is awarded for the best narrative log of a cruise by a members yacht. The cruise may be of any duration, under power or sail, and the log may be illustrated with photos or sketches. Entries must be submitted by the October 30th. The trophy will be presented to the winner at the dinner dance on Friday, November 10th ⛵️

Spit to Port
Flat to Starboard
Kinnegar to Starboard
Spit to Starboard
Finish
Take your time as the bow crosses the line ( Mark on Starting hut in a line with yellow mark nearest marina entrance forms the line, the yellow mark at Inch side is just an outer limit mark)
This is also your start for race 2.
Turn around and complete Race 2 after your whole vessel has crossed the line.

Please remember to take your own elapsed times and pass to a member of the sailing committee or OD after racing.
The prize-giving and bucket collection will take place in the clubhouse after racing with the members of the RNLI in attendance.

Railway Tavern Regatta

Hi Folks
This Saturday sees our second last regatta of the year kicking off at the start line at Fahan at 10.30am. The format will be super Saturday style with the plan of running 2 races for both irc and club fleets. More info to follow on the day from the od. Following racing a prizegiving will take place ashore.
Hope to see as many boats out as possible as the season draws to a close ⛵️

Portsalon Pint & quatz

Portsalon pint & quatz
This Sunday sees our final long distance race of the year. This race will a pursuit style race with the first boat planned to start at 9.30am from the start line in Fahan.
Course will be confirmed on the day depending on wind conditions, but will more than likely follow the normal format of swillymore to port and finish at portsalon pier no more than 100 metres.
As the pier in portsalon is closed for works we plan to continue to Rathmullan for a prizegiving in the white heart. Hope to see as many boats out as possible.
