Spit to Port
Flat to Starboard
Kinnegar to Starboard
Spit to Starboard
Finish
Take your time as the bow crosses the line ( Mark on Starting hut in a line with yellow mark nearest marina entrance forms the line, the yellow mark at Inch side is just an outer limit mark)
This is also your start for race 2.
Turn around and complete Race 2 after your whole vessel has crossed the line.

Please remember to take your own elapsed times and pass to a member of the sailing committee or OD after racing.
The prize-giving and bucket collection will take place in the clubhouse after racing with the members of the RNLI in attendance.

Railway Tavern Regatta

Hi Folks
This Saturday sees our second last regatta of the year kicking off at the start line at Fahan at 10.30am. The format will be super Saturday style with the plan of running 2 races for both irc and club fleets. More info to follow on the day from the od. Following racing a prizegiving will take place ashore.
Hope to see as many boats out as possible as the season draws to a close ⛵️

Portsalon Pint & quatz

Portsalon pint & quatz
This Sunday sees our final long distance race of the year. This race will a pursuit style race with the first boat planned to start at 9.30am from the start line in Fahan.
Course will be confirmed on the day depending on wind conditions, but will more than likely follow the normal format of swillymore to port and finish at portsalon pier no more than 100 metres.
As the pier in portsalon is closed for works we plan to continue to Rathmullan for a prizegiving in the white heart. Hope to see as many boats out as possible.

Regatta Weekend

It’s that time of the year again folks – Annual Swilly Worlds Regattas
See info below for each day
Saturday 5th August – Fahan Regatta
9.30am – 10am – Registration and skippers briefing in the clubhouse followed by 11am start in the vicinity of salt pans mark. There will 2-3 races of Olympic style course. To insure a prompt start we’d advise boats to leave the marina by 10.15.
Following racing we’ll have our annual regatta prizegiving, disco and karaoke in the clubhouse with doors opening at 7.30pm, food served from 8.15pm and the world famous dj Gerry from 10.00pm til late🤪
Sunday 6th August – Buncrana Regatta
11.30am start in vicinity of spit mark with 1 – 2 races to taking place. Prizegiving will follow in the clubhouse after racing.
Monday 7th August – Rathmullan Regatta
12pm start in vicinity of Rathmullan pier with 2 – 3 races taking place followed by parade of sail and prizegiving in conjunction with Rathmullan sailing school at circa 4.30pm in the boat compound. A reminder that Rathmullan festival will be in full swing so remember to pack your dancing shoes😃
Further instructions will be available each day from the race committee. The racing may be extended or curtailed on the day depending on weather conditions.
Entry fee is €30 per boat for members and €40 per boat for non members. This is payable on Saturday morning at the skippers briefing and registration in the clubhouse. All boats wishing to race must register.
