Congratulations to junior member Joe Porter skippering Niamh, who won the Junior Helmsman race in miserable conditions on Saturday.
Well done Joe, for both skill and endurance!!
We have a full programme for this weekend with the Junior Helm on Saturday (1100hrs start) and Round the Island on Sunday (1200hrs start). Instructions will be issued on the day with Prize Giving to follow in the Clubhouse.
If in doubt, set out, and let’s get good fleets of boats with young skippers and to go round to see the other side of Inch!
Race starts will be prompt both days.
We have three copies remaining of the new publication from the Irish Cruising Club, Cruising Ireland, written by Mike Balmforth and our own former commodore Norman Kean.
It is beautifully illustrated and is not only a great cruising companion, but a lovely coffee table book too. There are even photos of LSYC yachts at play inside.

Price is £29.95 or 37.50 euros
It can also be ordered directly from the ICC (with an additional post and packing charge).
