Tory Weekend

Weather is looking fine for our weekend trip to Oileán Thoraigh (albeit light winds) and a royal welcome awaits.

The hotel is closed so our evening festivities will take place in An Club. The cafe will be open on Saturday and can provide breakfast on Sunday morning, although it is probably wise to book that on Saturday evening.

Women on Water – Change of Date & Action Breast Cancer

The date of the Women on Water Race has been changed to Saturday 22 June 2013 (1600hrs start) with prize giving and Midsummer BBQ following in the clubhouse that evening.

This year we are participating in the ISA/Action Breast Cancer initiative (www.sailing.ie/wowi) where we are asking for a €10 donation by each participant. Over 2,000 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Ireland each year. In 2013 WOWI aims to get 2,013 women on the water in aid of Action Breast Cancer while raising over €20,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.

We hope to get as many boats out as possible followed by a good nights food and fun in the Clubhouse to make this a memorable event.

More details will follow in the lead up to the event, but please put the date in your diary and note the date change. The Phoenix 4 race will now take place on Sunday 23 June 2013 (1700hrs start).
