"This is truly the Adventure of a Lifetime. A life changing experience for all involved and a chance not to be missed. The programme of activities on board are designed to develop confidence, interaction skills, motivation and a work ethos. At the very least, it will be an excellent experience to include on your CV…at the most, it could lead to a career in the maritime industries. Trainees will meet members of the port, Naval and shipping industries and learn about opportunities for future careers.

They will learn how they can enjoy applying themselves in a challenging environment. They will make new friends for life from lots of different places." Michael Byrne, Manager, Sail Training Ireland.

Irish Boat Jumble Sunday 12th April 2015

Hosted by Carrickfergus Sailing Club

For the second time ever Carrickfergus Sailing Club is hosting the Irish Boat Jumble. Having hosted the Jumble in 2014 we are determined to make it bigger and better in 2015. We will be investing heavily in the advertising of the event and are hopeful that many of the regular Traders will be attending in 2015. Any income raised will go towards the building fund for the replacement clubhouse following the devastating fire in June 2012.

Gates open at 10am

Entry Fee £4/€5 – under 16s free when accompanied by an adult.

Euros will be accepted for entry and purchases in the club

All other regional variations of Sterling also accepted.

If you do it in, on, under or near the water, this is the place to get a bargain!

We look forward to meeting up with all our old friends on 12 April.

Handicaps for IRC and Club Class

Handicaps to apply from the beginning of the season have now been posted on the web-site.
