Start time 9am at Fahan.
Both fleets will start at the same time.
Proceed directly to Tory observing normal navigation marks.
The finish line is a transit from the end of the pier at Westtown and a mark 8 Degrees 13.36 Mins West. Finish line is no more than 200m from the end of the pier.

Over the last number of weeks we have been training for the start of the season proper.
One last note now to complete the training, race declarations.
From 7th June, I need a race declaration form completed and either handed to me at the marina or emailed. You may fill out the paper form and scan it or take a photo of if and send to me or fill out the PDF form and email this. If any monies are due then these can be collected at the next available opportunity.
Note, as the form states, Points will only be awarded on submission of the form.
There will be a 3 hour window from the end of the race for submission of the form. If you need more time than this then you may contact me and request this otherwise I will take no communication as a retirement from the race and score it as such.

Also note, from May 31st only boats with a valid IRC certificate may enter a race. (IRC rule 8.12). Boats turning up on the start line must first have presented the Sailing Secretary with a valid certificate. Failing to do so will mean a boat cannot race and should not participate in a starting sequence and must not interfere with boats who have arrived at the starting line to complete.

See the update to the IRC certificate requirements. The changes are in line with IRC rules as updated 2021. The statement below is the update to the LSYC requirements.
Boats sailing in the IRC Class without a current IRC certificate for 2021 will have 10% added to their 2020 handicap for all events taking place before 31st May.
Current year IRC certificates MUST be received by 31st May (IRC Rule 8.12). Boats will not be eligible to sail in any race without an IRC Certificate. All race points scored before 31st May will be declared void and the races rescored. Subsequent production of an IRC certificate will not reinstate the points.
Please note that it will not be possible to race in the Regatta series without a current IRC certificate.
This effective for the resumption of racing from 7th June as per ISA guidance.
Resumption of Training
With the announcement of the resumption of training in Ireland I would like to point the club members in the direction of the schedule in the website, here.
This weekend sail training is scheduled for Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 2pm.
Under government guidance we can officially train outdoors with a pod of 15 people.
Skippers should keep a log of the crew and observe contact tracing protocols.
After 7th of June we can start the official racing schedule.

The regatta / training scheduled for tomorrow will be one race only starting and finishing at Fahan. The training session is due to start at 9am. High water is 10am so we should be out and back before 11:30 depending on the wind. Forecast is 7-10Kts so a shortish training session is in order.
