Club fleet results now available using rating handicaps as well as progressive handicaps

The web site now has alternative results for the Club fleet using rating handicaps ( just for information – not for the prizes! ) in addition to the progressive handicap results.

The rating handicaps are based on the Clyde Yacht Clubs Association figures. As explained in the FAQ sent out about 10 days ago, they represent the theoretical speed of a given design and do not take into account the performance of the crew.

CYCA do not have specific figures for Firsty, In a Rush and J’Aimee. So I have had to estimate those. If anyone wants to know how I did that I’m happy to explain.

As yet there are no alternative results for the IRC fleet using the progressive handicaps since there need to be at least three finishers in a race for those handicaps to start changing.

HAL’s Results – they are there, really!

Apologies if you are not seeing the HAL’s Race Results link on the navigation bar on the LHS. This is due to your browser desperately holding on to an old version of the page. It seems to be a particular problem with Apple devices, but also with others.

Try refreshing your page, using the circular arrow or similar. If that doesn’t work, you can now find a HAL link on the old results web page and try that.

Please also email me at karen@sleat.eu, telling me your problem, and what device you are using – PC, iPad etc, and which browser – Explorer, Chrome etc

Granuaile results

We have sorted out the interface between the new results programme ( HAL) and the club website.

So you can now see results to date in the Granuaile Series by clicking on the new “HAL’s Race Results” link in the section on the left hand side of the club’s home page.
