Clipper Round the World Race 2011-12 is coming to Lough Foyle!
Great news for sailing in the North West.
Robin Knox-Johnston has been in Derry City to announce that the final transatlantic leg of the next Clipper Round the World Race will finish and the final leg start from the city.

ICC assessment Course – 9 August (eve) and 10th August (one day)
There are still some places remaining on the forthcoming ICC Assessment Course.
The International Certificate of Competency is recognised world-wide by yacht charter companies and in many countries is the minimum qualification required to charter a yacht abroad.
The theory and written assessment will be on Monday 9 Aug 2010 evening 1800hrs to 2200hrs, followed by a full day assessment on the water on Tuesday 2010 Aug 10.
The course cost is being shared between the participants and is likely to be between €165 and €300 max, depending on numbers and previous qualifications.
