Thursday 14th September marks the 410th anniversary of the Flights of the Earls from Portnamurry.
To mark the occasion the Historical Society are organising a walk from Rathmullan Abbey to Porthamurry where a short ceremony will be held at 1300 hrs.
We would like to invite all available boat owners to mark the maritime context of the occasion by assembling in the vicinity of Portnamurry Bay for the ceremony at 1300 hrs which also coincides with High Tide.
Participating boats should assemble on the pontoon at noon on the 14th, weather conditions permitting.
All boats are welcome and the parade will be lead by the skipper of “Chloe J” providing local navigational expertise.
